01 — WEIGHTED GPA

Credits make the difference.

A 3-credit course at 4.0 and a 1-credit course at 2.0 give a 3.50 GPA. More credits give a course more weight.

(3 × 4 + 1 × 2) ÷ 4 = 3.50
02 — GRADE REPLACEMENT

Explore a better outcome.

At 2.80 CGPA across 60 credits, replacing a 3-credit grade from 1.0 to 3.0 raises your CGPA to 2.90, if replacement is allowed.

(2.80 × 60 − 1 × 3 + 3 × 3) ÷ 60 = 2.90
03 — ATTENDANCE

Plan your next class.

With 24 of 30 classes attended, you have 80%. At a 75% requirement, you can miss two more classes: 24 out of 32 is exactly 75%.

24 ÷ 32 × 100 = 75%
03 / Good questions

A few things to know.

Does this work with my university’s grading system?

Select a 4, 5 or 10-point maximum and enter the numerical grade points assigned by your university. These calculators use credit-weighted averages. Exclude pass/fail and non-GPA courses unless your institution says otherwise. Letter-to-point mappings and repeat rules are institution-specific.

Is semester GPA the same as CGPA?

GPA usually describes one semester. CGPA combines all included semesters. To calculate CGPA, enter all included courses and their credits, or enter each semester’s GPA as grade points with that semester’s total credits as its weight. For example, 3.0 over 15 credits and 4.0 over 5 credits give 3.25, not 3.50.

Will repeating a course always replace the old grade?

No. Some universities replace the old grade, others count both attempts, cap the new grade or apply other rules. The grade improvement calculator assumes full replacement with unchanged completed credits. Confirm your policy before making an enrollment decision.

Are my grades uploaded or stored?

The calculators run in your browser. This component does not upload your entries. If you enable “Remember course list,” only your course list and selected scale are saved in this browser’s local storage. Switch it off or reset to delete that saved list. Framer hosting may separately process technical visit data.

Why can my official CGPA be slightly different?

Your university may use unrounded internal grade points, different exclusions or a different rounding policy. This tool displays two decimal places and uses the numbers you enter. Use your official transcript and university rules as the final source.
